This is a patch for memory leaks in Globus I/O. It was created by David Smith 
at CERN, and has been tested as part of the VDT. 

I will attach the patch separately.

Refiling under Globus I/O. I'm not sure this will be relevant for GT3.2.

No longer relevant.  GT 3.2's globus io is rewritten as a wrapper around xio.
