Description From 2008-04-24 17:27:47
One cannot build the derby database with the current database schema for
derby in trunk:

     [java] -- primary/unique
     [java] ALTER TABLE "GLOBUS"."TRANSFER" ADD CONSTRAINT "TRANSFER_PK_CONS"
PRIMARY KEY ("ID");
     [java] 0 rows inserted/updated/deleted
     [java] ij> ALTER TABLE "GLOBUS"."REQUEST" ADD CONSTRAINT "REQUEST_PK_CONS"
PRIMARY KEY ("ID");
     [java] 0 rows inserted/updated/deleted
     [java] ij> ALTER TABLE "GLOBUS"."TRANSFERID" ADD CONSTRAINT
"TRANSFER_ID_PK_CONS" PRIMARY KEY ("TRANSFER_ID");
     [java] 0 rows inserted/updated/deleted
     [java] ij> ALTER TABLE "GLOBUS"."REQUESTID" ADD CONSTRAINT
"REQUEST_ID_PK_CONS" PRIMARY KEY ("REQUEST_ID");
     [java] 0 rows inserted/updated/deleted
     [java] ij> ALTER TABLE "GLOBUS"."RESTART" ADD CONSTRAINT "RESTART_PK_CONS"
PRIMARY KEY("TRANSFER_ID");
     [java] ERROR 42831: 'TRANSFER_ID' cannot be a column of a primary key or
unique key because it can contain null values.
     [java] ij>

possible solution:
Add NOT NULL to field TRANSFER_ID in table GLOBUS.RESTART
