It's been requested that the "gid" field in the CEDPS logging be "id" instead. 
Looking at the latest generated MDS logs (located at):

http://www.cedps.net/wiki/index.php/Logs#MDS4_.28within_a_GT4_container.29_Log_Example_.28Sept_12.2C_2007.29

... they otherwise look good.  Also, is there a reason the "gid/id" is negative
at times?  Negative numbers are fine unless the negative numbers mean something
(in which case we need to know what they mean).

Changed gid to id. 

The value was generated as random integer, negatives have no significance. But
changed that to be a positive only.
