VDT has a patch
(http://vdt.cs.wisc.edu/patches/1.10.1/106__jm_grid_monitor_files.diff) which
updates the job manager to look in a new location for the fast poll file. This
should be merged into 4.2.0 and trunk.

The patches for these are committed to 4.2 branch and trunk.
